Alexa Starkey joined Taylor, Minnette, Schneider & Clutter as an associate attorney in October 2024, bringing a strong commitment to her hometown and a focus on criminal law, family law, and estate planning. She enjoys guiding clients through challenging situations and helping them find practical solutions that make a meaningful difference.
Born and raised in Veedersburg, Alexa was inspired by her mother’s lifelong legal career in Fountain County. Seeing firsthand the impact an attorney can have on individuals and families sparked her own passion for practicing law in the community she calls home. Alexa earned her B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from Purdue University in 2021 before completing her J.D. at Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. During law school, she gained hands-on experience through the Rural Justice Program, internships with the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and Warren Circuit Court, and service in the Family Law Clinic as both a Guardian ad Litem and Court Appointed Special Advocate.
Alexa continues to serve her community as vice president of the Fountain County Bar Association and volunteers annually at the County 4-H Fair. She lives in Veedersburg with her husband, Tyler, and their two dogs, Arlo and Ruby. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, golfing, and summer days at the lake. Guided by the principle that “Success isn’t coincidental,” Alexa approaches her work and community involvement with dedication, care, and a focus on making a positive impact.
