Meet Tyler Nichols

Tyler Nichols has been practicing law in Indiana since 2011 and is proud to serve clients through Taylor, Minnette, Schneider & Clutter. Over the years, he has built a versatile practice, focusing on estate planning and probate, real estate, business and nonprofit law, and municipal matters, while also handling select family law and criminal cases. Tyler is passionate about helping families, businesses, and local governments find practical solutions that create lasting, positive impacts in their communities.

Tyler’s interest in law was shaped by his upbringing in southwestern Montgomery County near Shades State Park, where a strong sense of community and responsibility guided him from an early age. That foundation, combined with a dedication to serving others, has guided his legal career and continues to inspire the way he works with clients.

A graduate of Hanover College, where he earned a double major in Political Science and Sociology in 2008, Tyler went on to earn his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2011. He maintains strong ties to his community as an active member of the Crawfordsville Rotary Club—where he has served as president—and as a board member for both the Crawfordsville/Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and the Russellville Community Church.

Outside of the office, Tyler enjoys coaching youth soccer in the Southmont Youth Soccer League and spending time outdoors with his wife, Mindy, their four children—Caroline, Julia, Madison, and Benjamin—and their dog, Charlie. Guided by his Christian faith, he lives by a simple principle learned from a mentor: “Just do your best and don’t worry what others think.”

Whether helping clients navigate legal challenges, volunteering in the community, or coaching on the soccer field, Tyler Nichols approaches every responsibility with thoughtfulness, integrity, and a commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those around him.
